Stuart,
Technically I don't extract straight to mpeg, sorry if I gave that
impression, but I do have most of the process automated hence it feels
like a one click -> mpeg.
I use tytool5 to extract the .ty file to a directory on my server. This
is excellent as you can select multiple shows.
Then a script runs every night to convert any files in the .ty directory
to mpegs using vsplitmux2, has a -m option to multiplex to mpeg
The .ty is then deleted.
Then whenever I get round to it, I burn the files to dvd.
Hope this helps
Iain

Could you go into more detail on this one? Not sure what tool you use
to extract straight to MPEG? Is that the new TyTools?
