"Firstnet is currently recruiting local 'broadband champions' to
co-ordinate campaigns in those areas that are desperate for broadband
Internet access. If 200 customers within a 15km radius commit to
subscribing to a Firstnet tariff then we will roll out its wireless
network to your area. To sign up to become a local campaign
co-ordinator, and to register your request to sign up to the Firstnet
service, call Firstnet on 0870 127 8008 or register online here."

Looks like you need to double your efforts Tim.

but there is a company called Liberty Broadband who offer RF broadband in
some areas - Better still, if you can get 100 interested potential
subscribers within a 15km radius they will bring Broadband to you - they
even give you a presspack and pay for your stamps! Check it out http://www.bringingbroadband2u.co.uk/.
I am doing it at the moment - it might come to nothing, but beats sitting
on your arse and waiting for BT/NTL to come down your street.
