RE: Should a US X10 remote be compatible?

It's illegal, in the same way that driving over 70mph is on a motorway ;-)

I bought back lots of RF stuff last year, saved about 60% on UK prices.
Got
my stuff from here http://www.pigselectronics.com/products/cartfrm.htm
,
they were very helpful in terms of shipping.

Interesting.

Could some bright spark confirm that the USA frequency (310MHz or 418MHz
- ?) is actually illegal over here or is this just an urban myth? If it is
legal then I see no reason why I can't bulk buy some *very* cheap US kit
and
pass the savings on. The US kit is *so* much cheaper.

Regards

Darryl.

I thought the US operated on 310MHz...???

Andy.
