Just joined the list so heres a bit about me
Hi my name is Matt i'm 20 and i live in Wolverhampton. I have been
interested in automation since i was little. I always wanted the doors in
my house to open like the ones in star trek! lol.
My HA system is quite small at the moment. I have a few appliance units
which i use to control the stuff in my bedroom. I use a HApc running
Windows Server 2000 and Citrix Mataframe XP. The computer is on the LAN
using a PC 802.11b card. This allows me to control my ActiveHome software
on my iPaq before i enter the house. I works quite well for me. I have
joined the mailing list in order to find some more inspiration for a new
project.
As I still Live with my parents I cannot start re-wiring their house.
Although, i do hope to get my own house in the next year or so.... which
means saving up for lots of wiring and plaster methinks!
I hope that this short bit of textual diarrhoea gives you a little bit more
information about me.
