Re: [OT] Any Excel whizzes out there??

Peter

Use the worksheet function NETWORKDAYS

This is straight out of the help file . . .

Returns the number of whole working days between start_date and end_date.
Working days exclude weekends and any dates identified in holidays. Use
NETWORKDAYS to calculate employee benefits that accrue based on the number
of days worked during a specific term.

If this function is not available, run the Setup program to install the
Analysis ToolPak. After you install the Analysis ToolPak, you must enable
it by using the Add-Ins command on the Tools menu

You can define the holidays in a range of cells on another sheet if you
don't want to include days like Bank Holiday Mondays etc

If that doesn't work for you, checkout the helpfile (Type in
"DATEDIF" in the index tab and then click on "See
Also")

HTH

Neil

Subject: [ukha_d] [OT] Any Excel whizzes out there??

Sorry, I know there's lots of OT posts at the mo, but I've got a bit of an
Excel prob...

I've got a cell working out the number of days between the current date,
and
an entered date (i.e. a date when an action will become due). This is
"=DAYS360($D$1,D13)", where D1 is todays date and D13 is the
typed due date.
Is there an easy way to have it calculate working days (or even week days)
rather that straight calendar days?

Thx, Pete
