Not an Excel whizz, but just some thoughts:
define a working day?  Which country are we talking about?
July 4th in US is not, over here it is.
Easter (the usual problematic one) over here we get Fri and Monday off.
US, they only get one - I forget which.
Etc etc.....

Can often be far simpler/cost effective to just have a lookup table with
the days you define to be "non-working".

Just figuring out Mon-Fri, regardless of working/non working status
should be easy enough - Excel is bound to have a day number type
function where 1=Mon, 2=tue etc that you could use.....
