Better to do the reading now rather than the late nights fixing it :-)

Visit www.grc.com and try ShieldsUp as a quick once over for your site
security as this will give you a good 1st pass on your security test.

If you're using SQL 2000, then if memory serves me right you can switch off
1434 if you update to SP3a, you might want to consider changing the default
port from 1433. I'm a DBA (SQL 6.0 and all later versions) and support
numerous systems, so feel free to mail me off list if needed.
