RE: Thermostat with RS232
Er...I think we've just reached the boundaries of my electrical
knowledge! I'd assumed that some of the on-board electronics on the
control units were converting the 12vDC to the 24vAC used by the relays?

Yes. I understand that.

This is the bit that's confusing me. What generates the 24vAC?
