As it's not recording a program in it's schedule I don't think the
record button works at all??

My recordings are setup via manual block recording i.e. 2pm-4pm
everyday, 4pm-6pm everyday etc etc etc.

Not sure about this though as I've not used it with the EPG at all. I
think my only hope is some kind of hack?

Paul.

Web front end for management/ renaming your recordings, ability to
digital extract to put onto other mediums.

You can certainly send remote control keystrokes via a URL if you've got

TivoWeb installed.... so any cron or similar program could directly hit
record (I think you'll need to also press select a few times or
something... not sure how unsubbed work with no schedule etc) .... as
for "stopping", you could force a channel change, up to abandon
recording and select.....

So yes, you should be able to bodge something together with a bit of
playing. :)
