My set up is now replaced by a RF remote control and module from B&Q
(luckily
they were on sale at a tenner :D).  Was only using x10 to switch the
christmas
tree lights on and off (see http://www.notalot.info/slimp3/
for details ;)) as
my sockets are behing the tree at an unreachable location.
