i'm on my third in about 4 years...  I assume you've done the obvious and
checked the fuse? :-)  Next I'd stick the CM12U under your nose and take a
big sniff!  I've found if there is a distinct acrid burnt smell it's time
to
reach for the credit card again.

Do CM12U's die often?  What is the best way to find out if it died?  Mine
worked fine for a couple of weeks, but now it doesn't even manage to
control a
lamp module sitting in the socket next to it :(  Strange enough the
software
(both Linux and Windows) does seem to be able to talk to it, it just won't
switch anything.  Any suggestions?
