Be warned on getting a cheap genny if you want to run power sensitive
equipment. Unless they have some form of a voltage regulation then voltage
can drop dramatically with the loading. My 5.5KVA genny will put out 230v
a=
t
52Hz with no load, when it's loaded to 10Amp this goes to about 215v at
51hz. If I pull 16Amps then it goes to 205v at 50Hz. Most of my stuff runs
okay on it, however things like mains power clocks end up running faster a
number of small items just don't work until the voltages get back to about
the 220v mark. Strangely enough the PC doesn't seem to care what the
voltag=
e
is.
