Not sure what SDS is but i think its what they call here a Rotarty Hammer
Drill...I have a couple of Ramset Rotary drills...The chuck is spring
loaded so it helps if  pulled back and push and twist the drill..I have
trouble occassionly inserting a drill bit.........Thay are bloody terrific
though makes easy work drilling into concrete and bricks..........
