You only need to rotate the bit to line it up. Apply light pressure as you
do and twist a maximum of 180 degrees - it should catch and push fully in.
Easy once you get the hang of it ;)
Once fully inserted it locks and can't be simply pulled out - you need to
"retract" the collar of the chuck to release it.
