Re: Lightning Protection WAS Re: Bloody Lightning!

Yep the same or very similar to those ones......How many do you need to
put=
on a ring main ? As i said over here they use radial circuits and generall=
y would have only 2 power circuits so only 2 surge protected power points
w=
ould be required......Must get a few more myself......

Hey Frank,

OK, maybe I don't know what you're referring to...
I thought it was these:

Thanks,
Andy.

P.S. Think of a number (in Australian dollars) and a PalPal address... ;o=
)

Hi Andy

Yes but you dont need to replace each power point with a surge protected
one..Over here you put one on each power circuit.....With the ring main
system it may be different ..but i would have 2 or 3 on the ring especial=
ly
on the HA stuff........

You can put them on your consumer unit but you would need a sparkie to do=
it
i would imagine....

Hi Frank,

Yeah, I know the ones you talking about...
They can be pretty pricey tho at about =A320 each.

Thus, why I want to know if I can just fit a single surge protection
device
at the incoming mains...???

Thanks,
Andy.
