My folks did and they're on Severn Trent *HOWEVER* they don't use much
water
- washing machine goes on maybe twice a week and that's it and they use
rainwater for the garden.
As a young couple there's always the likelyhood of you two becoming 3 or
more and then you'll find that you're using washing machines etc. a lot
more
and in that case you may well find that you're using much more. Remember
once you get a meter you can't go back to not having it!
I have a 7 year old kid and in his "early" years you find that
kids really
make a mess - especially when coming out of nappies! Even now there's an
almost endless supply of muddy trousers and coats...
...also when you add in things like pressure washers - mine supposedly
whaps
through something like 410 litres an hour and I was using it for about 6
hours last weekend to clean the cars and the winter gunk off the patio /
house then you can very quickly rack up your useage.
Myself ... I would (and did) stick with no meter for the time being.
