Yep, both of them are settings in your tivoweb.cfg file - use Joe to
edit, then restart tivoweb. Alternatively, you can do things
complicatedly with an Apache proxy... full info at
http://tivo.lightn.org/README

What I'm currently using is SSH from work to a linux box on my lan and
just using lynx. I did have the port redirect before, but changed
configs and didn't set it up again.... most of the time, Tivo does what
it should anyway without much interaction from me :-)

Screensaver - you can install a screensaver which will timeout to black
after 30 secs or so of pause.... invaluable if you have RPTV or a
plasma... search at www.tivocommunity.com for it.
Extraction! If you want to pull things off your Tivo, encode them as
DivX to share (as I have done with a few shows in the past) or put them
onto DVD for archiving... quite a few of us here do it, some using
slightly different methods than others.
