Oh yes right. Certainly if you've a lot of patching to do then the wider
racks are better, we're just putting another rack in our head office and
the cable guys were fairly instant on a wide front to help with cable
management.

thingies installed, looks great, provided it works :-)
But yes in an HA environment less essential. But then with all those
patch panels you going to have one hell of a birds nest!

I meant 800 wide. I've been told that the extra room is useful for cable
management, but (a) that was a salesman and (b) I'm not sure how
necessary it is in an HA environment. From your comments, I assume you
believe an 800 wide rack is not worth it?
