Thank you for a refreshingly informative posting on renewable energy.
Perhaps Mark McCall should consider an award for the most fascinating HA
related posting too.

I did consider the idea of having a wind-powered generator as advertised
in the likes of Maplin Electronics. However, having read your posting and
considered the likely chance of having sufficient wind to turn the turbine
in North London, I now conclude that the idea is not going to fly.

I do have three solar-powered garden lights. They are just about capable
of revealing their locations after dark, if you know where to look.
