VOB stands for Video OBject. These files are the ones that contain
all the video AND audio parts of the disc. These elements are
called "streams". So a VOB is a collection of streams.
IFO stands for InFOrmation file. These files are needed to tell you
DVD player how to "run" the movie, using things like subtitles,
foreign languages and so on.
