As long as you leave long enough for ARP caches to expire (or manually
clear them).
When I reboot my Zyxel ISDN router it start issuing DHCP from the
bottom again (no memory, no ping before lease) so all hell breaks loose
until all ARP caches clear and everything gets a new lease.
I find going to the pub while everything settles down works well. :-)
