Thanks for that Keith, you're right, according to the research Patrick et
al
have done on this in the past they seem to be using the audio ground....
Many thanks
Daniel

It should work but it could be that they are using one of the other GROUND
pins within the SCART plug.
Open the plug and see what pins the cable is connected to.
4,5,9,13,17,18 are all designated ground.

Subject: [ukha_d] Composite Video Question
Morning all
I have a CCTV camera - one of the cheapys from the homebase clearout a
while
ago!!
Anyhow this has a scart connector on the end of it... Is the output from
this into the TV Composite Video?
I ask, as I would like to plug this into a capture card on the PC, but the
scart adaptor I have made just produces waves of black lines on the screen
when I tell it to look at the composite signal.. (it doesn't work if I plug
it into the TVs video in phono socket either)
The video in the scart socket is using the following pins:
(Data courtesy of www.kat5.tv :-)
17 VIDEO/Sync/Luminance Ground
20 VIDEO/Sync/Luminance Input
And I have wired this accross to a phono plug for the PC capture card...
Is anyone able to shed some light as to why this doesn't work?
Cheers
Daniel
