I have two types of conditioners fitted. One is a permanent magnet type
and the other is the electronic one with "multi-frequency sweep". While
the water is nowhere near as soft (and slippery) as the conventional salt
type conditioners, we have noticed a definite reduction in limescale build
up in the kettle.

I dislike the "proper" soft water feel as I find myself repeatedly trying
to rinse off the non-existent soap residual.
