When I said about a partly populated (4 instead of 8) relay board I was
thinking about a 'kit'. This was for two reasons 1) the Hozelock thingy
only has 4 outlets and 2) It would keep the cost down.
This is entirely optional and if anyone wants a full 8 relay board this
is
no problem. As you say, 4 for the valves and 4 for other switching
needs.
If a 4 relay board was bought initially and then that persons
requirements
changed I would be happy to add the missing components (or send by mail
if
soldering was not a problem) for an agreed price. If I was doing the
work
this would be the difference in price between the two units plus postage
-
can't say fairer than that can I.

Sounds good Ian - certainly could be interested in the hose/valve
assembly - however an 8 relay board gives additional scope for other
outdoor controls - lighting, water feature pumps, etc.
