RE: Projector & Screen Recommendations

It's part of the BADA (british audio dealers' association) that anything yo= u buy from them can be returned in the first 10 days for a full refund, for= no reason better than "I decided I didn't like it."=0D
=0D
Not quite as good as free-loan, since you do start by paying, but you get t= he security you want.=0D
=0D
Have a look on http://www.bada.co.uk/ to find a local dealer.=0D

      Hi All,=0D
      =0D
Thanks for all the advice so far, I'm busy s= tudying brochures and web sites=0D
at the moment, the Panasonic PT - AE100 seem= s to fit the bill projector wise=0D
as it's available for around =C2=A31200, and= gets fairly good reviews.=0D
      =0D
Do these projectors (LCD in general) have to= be pointed "head on" at the=0D
screen, or can they be mounted off to the si= de?  Reason for asking is that=0D
if I mount a screen from the ceiling at one = end of the room, I could sit the=0D
projector on top of my AV rack which is alon= g the right hand wall (probably=0D
about 6 feet from the screen and at a 45 deg= ree angle off the centre line of=0D
the screen if the room is viewed from above)= .  This would win brownie points=0D
with SWMBO as there would be less disruption= to the room from having to=0D
ceiling mount it and run wires all over the = place etc.=0D
      =0D
Also, does anybody know of any AV shops that= do home demos of equipment=0D
(Northamptonshire area)?  Or maybe that= hire equipment out on short term=0D
lease?  It'd be good to be able to try = out some projectors actually in the=0D
room that is going to be used to get an idea= of which would be best suited.=0D
      =0D
      Thanks,=0D
