RE: In car MP3
I've got an Alpine CHA-634 6 CD changer in my boot which plays mp3s. It
supports all the stuff you'd expect CD-Text, VBR encoding etc. The only
limitation that mine has, is that in order to connect it up to my BMW
head unit (SatNav screen), I have to use an AI-Net -> MBus
converter,
and then an MBus to BMW converter. Unfortunately CD-text isn't
supported
over Mbus, so I just get track read-outs in the vein of 6-113! Doesn't
bother me though, I just listen to the stuff.
The best bit is that you can pick one up for around =A3230 quid, and
adapters can be sourced to connect it into most makes of car.
