This sounds an excellent idea.  Great for SWMBO as you say - just get the
physical CD and wand it - no buttons/knobs/dials/tiny screens to navigate.

The downside is that you still need to have available your collection.
Unless of course you were to print up sheets full of bar codes - which is
unlikely to win you brownie points.
