Try navigating a practice emergency dead-reckoning exercise with a map on
your knee low level in the rain with an instructor shouting at you!!!! oh
and fly the plane!
Oh bliss....
ALL pilots have gone through this....right?
God knows how Spitfire Pilot managed it with the speeds they can fly at!!!
I take my hat off to them all.

When I did my PPL over ten years ago, all I had was airmaps and the
"trip
computer". If I had the use of GPS then, it would have saved me some
hairy
moments getting lost near TMAs.

Me too. I like the retractable screen. Shame I can't retain my Kenwood
10-CD changer though.
