Hi all

Been meaning to post this for a couple of days now, finally had a
spare few minutes :-)

I went into the new Borders Bookshop in Lakeside the otherday, and
was really impressed with their listening facilities for CDs.

As per They have a pair of headphones along with a barcode scanner,
and lcd display, you simply take the CD you are interested in and
scan the barcode, hey presto it plays the CD back - instantly, they
only play the first 1 minute or so of each track, but you do get the
info up on an LCD, telling you disc and track title information.

I would presume they have ripped the music to Hard disc, but it
struck me as a nice way of finding songs quickly... and its very
SWMBO friendly too :-)

Anyhow I thought you all might be interested.

Regards

Daniel James
