A good example of CPC's descriptions sometimes being less than 
comprehensive - I'd looked at this one several times and dismissed it 
because it's just called a 9v to 12v conversion PCB - it didn't 
mention the NC contacts, even though I now see they're in the photo. 
(I recently bought a cheap USB card in the hope it would work in a 
Mac though the catalogue only said PC - the packaging clearly says 
Mac compatible...)

I shall order some tomorrow - thanks for the tip!
