Wow! Looks just like the one I got sitting beside my desk !

The HP 'PowerBar' blade servers, although not the most compact of the current offerings, are the only ones to offer a separate management card for the whole chassis, and a 'standard' board connection interface. They are being pitched at the ISP and telecomms sectors I believe.

The concept has recently become quite popular in the corporate server space.
They're commonly known as "blade" servers, - using this strategy allows more
servers per rack than even the slim 1U server cases does. A blade rack might
typically be 6U high, but may house up to 14 servers... All the server
"blades" will share redundant power supplies, fans, and various other bits
to save space.
