RE: FW: Symantec - Virus Warning Bulletin

Well basically my current production slot means I get one in nine
months. They hold back a few slots in case someone gets a car where the
engine blows up, or arrives in the wrong colour (it does happen). Also
the current allocation system means that we get fewer cars in proportion
to demand than our European and US counterparts - BMW GB are currently
negotiating with BMW AG to increase our quota. Lastly I got completely
shafted with my last car (the salesman was fired over it). I was
originally quoted February for delivery, even though there was no chance
of it arriving until September!

I am assured by the sales manager at the dealership that he has
petitioned the regional manager on my behalf so I get the first of these
unused "emergency" cars that becomes available in the south of England.
Production slots are finalised two months before the build process
starts, so it is unlikely (though not impossible), that I get one sooner
than 4 months from now.

And as for not liking Beemers may I ask why? How many 4 seater
convertibles do you know that can outrun a Porsche 911 on the track? And
cost 20 grand less I might add? Even Mark and I agree on what a fabulous
car it is. And how often does that happen?

Tim

I was thinking that earlier too, but I didn't want to rain on Tim's
parade ;-)

P**s poor service IMO, never liked beemers anyway so it really doesn't
bother me as I won't be buying one.
