I have to say that I don't think I would ever buy a brand new car -
apart from the fact that there is absolutely nothing out there in the
way of new stuff that I like (at least not in the price range I can
afford and a couple of multiples above) there is the depreciation which
is quite horrendous and the fact that I would rather someone else had
the hassle of ironing the bugs out of a new car first (leaking door and
window seals etc.)

I've just been offered a five month old TT Roadster (high output
version), fully loaded for =A323k ... My mate bought it as his wife told him she wanted a 4x4 but didn't care what sort so he took her at her
word (albeit slightly deviously) and bought the quattro roadster. Poor
bloke hasn't had a moments peace since and has now decided to go get an
X5 or ML like she originally wanted!
