Fraid not - TCPIP is all you need (with Client for Microsoft Network).
TCIPIP is certainly a better stack that IPX/SPX

If you having trouble with machines seeing each other try this it works
all of the time:

On the Windows 2k/XP/NT the file you need is
c:\windowsdir\system32\drivers\hosts

On Win95/98/ME its c:\windows\hosts

If these files don't exist create them to look like the following:

192.168.0.1            router
192.168.0.2            server
192.168.0.3            workstation1
192.168.0.4            workstation2

This will only work if you use Static IP Addresses of course, but at
least u'll be able to see them I network neighbourhood.

Kind Regards,
Chris Bond
