That sounds like my experience.  I'll probably do the same with my last
project to put some pics on the web, but it would be nice if it actually
did what it was supposed to.

LOL - it is indeed.  It seems to have some very strange ideas about
where the connections should go!

I've thought about writing something like it myself, but I've no idea
where to get ideas for algorithms.  The graphics part of it would be
dead easy, but I think the layout and routing methods are much harder to
do properly.

Anyway, I only do about 2 boards a year, so it's not too much effort
just to do them by hand :-)
