This sounds familiar. I failed my O level Lit, and just scraped a C on the
language. What do I do now for a living? Write, of course. OK, it's
technical books, but it's still my main job. I've always hated this
over-emphasis on exams in the UK education system. I loved the books we
studied, and read a lot, but could I remember anything for the exams. Heck
no.
