Aw, that's a bit harsh. Old doesn't necessarily mean good, but classic
books are classic for a reason. Reading lists are there to demonstrate
some of the finest uses of English, like the aforementioned bard.
Admittedly, this doesn't stop the subject matter of some of them being
tedious in the extreme ;)
