I am about to start converting a office/warehouse for my house.
Yesterday Stuart Grimshaw and Chris ? came up to see me in Rossendale,
and<=
BR>
have a look at the project. I have lots of ideas, and I need to ensure I
ca=
n
future proof the house - hence loads of cable.
My only foray into HA has been a Timer Home Control Kit bought for
=A319.99=
>from
R>
more :-)
Stuart & Chris have been EXTREMELY helpful so far, and suggested I
post=
here
for further thoughts and tips. They also kindly took the first pictures
of<=

the house and hosted them here http://www.smgsystems.co.uk/umar/index.htm
My first problem (apart from the cost !!!!!) is how to distribute audio
around the house. Original thoughts included line level output from node
0<=
BR>
to an amplifier in each room and then speaker wires from the amplifier
to
the speakers on the walls. I want to distribute MP3 and radio, and also
if<=
BR>
there is a TV in room, I want to be able to switch to the TV signal.
This involves a separate amplifier in each room, and as I may have up to
10=
rooms requiring audio, this could be expensive. Also control over
the=
signal may be done via a Fujitsu tablet, but again this could be
costly.
Has anyone got other ideas - using a simple multi-channel amp perhaps.
How<=
BR>
much do they cost ?
Cheers
Umar
