Turns out Maxim is opposite the place where I got my alarm, 5 mins from my
house!
I'll pop round there later, what else shall I try & blag? :-)

yep, it's the Powermax. According to wireless-alarms.co.uk it is TTL (look
under pricing for Powermax software).
I don't know the pinouts, but I'm going to try and find out (or guess!)

no external components whatsoever.
