The only difference between A & B are the colours, electrically they are the same. Just make sure you use the same scheme at each end :-)
 
Yes - KAT5 uses normal structured wiring (all 4 pairs)

When terminating my cat 5 cablebetween my face plates and my patch panels,
should I use standard a or standard b?

does KAT5 run over normally terminated cables as described above?
