I know what you mean I am still trying to keep up with difficulty. could
do with trying to setup outlook to show me the messages as threads then i
can prune the ones not interested in.

The file extension is a standard for ISO format cd's which is why you
now need to burn the image onto a cd using appropriate program. Once the cd
is created it is bootable.

Hardware firewall in theory should be quicker but I am not really aware
of any pure hardware ones because they all need some sort of software to be
able to run so the idea of using smoothwall should be fine and as its linux
based it should also be quite robust, mines been running for 21 days now
without problem apart from the vagaries of connection ability to bt
anytime!!

Cisco make a dedicated firewall box but it is a case of the traffic
being hardware switched after the software has looked at it to see if its
valid. A bit over simplified but should explain ok.
