I don't usually bother with playlists as I tend to prefer to listen to
a
whole album at a time. However, have just played with the AT and
created a playlist of over 1000 songs and it seemed quite happy to play
that - more than enough for 5 hours I think!
Annoyingly however, it seems that playlists have to be created on the
PC
with Audiostation (supplied) - or anything that will generate a .m3u
list.
Shame as it's no longer strictly PC software free.
Can add things to 'groups' (whatever they are) and the play queue from
web server though, so not totally disasterous.....
Of course, the more play lists you have, the more memory they take up
&
the less space you have for indexing songs on the server :-(
I wonder if using really short names would help - eg \\A\M\A\S\1.wma
would save a fair few bytes over
\\ACHERON\MUSIC\Avalanches\SinceILeftYou\01-Since I Left You.wma.
Multiply that by 30000 songs and that's a lot of space saved.....
