RE: OT: Keyboard failure

I had exactly the same problem....purchased USB Kbd, plugged it in, pointed it at a few drivers it needed and eventually (after a couple of reboots and a fairly long wait while the suystem thought about it) it worked!

I have a computer where the keyboard port seems to have failed, and it
means that I cannot boot up, access the bios or anything else as the error
message come up 'keyboard error or no keyboard present' and there is no way
to get past it. Im sure that if I could get into the bios or something I
could enable USB keyboard and carry on as normal. Does anyone have a
solution apart from replacing the motherboard?

Cheers

Cam
