Hi All
            Was reading this thread with interest being a sparkie .Quite
surprized the UK  sparkies use T+E  for switch wires ,i would have thought
the British Standards would not allow a neutral conductor to be used for any
live switching . Here in Australia the sparkies use a TWIN ACTIVE cable (red
+ while) no earth required you can also get triple active . I would check
the reg book before doing any new cabling using neutral as  a switch wire .
If you have to use it do as Phil suggests and sleeve the neutral with a
coloured heakshrink.
