I
agree,
Splitting into more groups is better.
I
am
receiving 150 (or whatever) mails a day. Because I don't have
Audioreceiver
I didn't join that group and saved myself few mails a
day.
Also,I
am interested in 1-wire stuff, but I don't actively participate, so I chose
daily digest on that one, so instead of receiving 30 more mails a
day, I
receive one and it doesn't mix with the others.
Subject identifier is enforced in each group, so it's more likely
that
people will post in proper group then that they will use proper
subject.
Cheers,
Nik
Oh that old nut ......
The bigest
problem
is that it's not easy to get people to use an agreed topic
heading.
I filter on the group that the e-mail comes from rather
than
the content, much more accurate imho.
Also, it does mean that
it's
actually kinder on the net in terms of the volume of messages being
shifted.
Finally, and I think this is significant, is from yahoo's
point of view it dillutes the message volume onto more than one group,
owned by more than one person, hopefully reducing the chances of being
charged.
Cheers
