RE: RF interference

Tony,

A little tip.....

You know what channels the UHF broadcasts are on and you can work out what
channels you need to put the other stuff on.

Once you have your list worked out, connect either the Digibox or Tivo to
the TV via SCART and set the RF output to the desired channel. That will be
spot on the right frequency. Then tune the TV's to that signal. Change the
digibox/Tivo output to the next channel number and repeat. Once that is done
your TV presets are tuned to exact frequencies. Things like a screwdriver
adjustable VCR can then be tweaked until it comes in on the preset you have
set up.

If you have worked out the Taboo list properly you should have good
pictures.

Another method you can play with is tuning unused preset to direct channel
numbers. Why they make TV's with 99 channel tuners when we only have 47
channels is beyond me !

Because we often pick up long distance signals in the summer I set up
presets 21-68 to be channels 21-68 so I can see how many frequencies are
being blotted out. During the summer we often get perfect pictures from
Holland and Germany (minus the sound because of the different subcarrier)
and about 10 unwatchable BBC1's.

Hi Tony

Have a look at the DTG web site.

http://www.dtg.org.uk/dtgactivities/index.html

Download R-Book 3 in PDF format and you'll find that there is a channel to
frequency look up table for both digital and analogue transmissions on Page
32. The whole book is only a 420k.
I've got the book in hard copy form from when they used to issue them
freely, but they're out of print now and only available in PDF form.
