You could see if Commview is any use - it is available on a 30 day demo then it is $99 (although you might need the enterprise version Mark !)

There is also etherpeek which is much more capable (and expensive)

http://www.wildpackets.com/products/etherpeek     <----- I am not sure if this is a reseller or the manufacturer - it used to be written by A G Systems if I remember rightly.

Hi all,

As I've said before, our firewall is a managed service, and, while that's great for reliabilty/cost, it's hard to get ad hoc reports out of it.

I need to work out how much bandwidth a (proprietary) client-server app is using... can anyone recommend a (free) packet sniffer/analyser that I can install on the client PC?

M.
