Its not a mod to the motors internally
so
it shouldn't violate CE approval. Its just a case of cutting the
toggle
switch off an replacing with a SPDT relay across the "common"
line
and the open/close lines. Why Swish didn't incorporate this into the
system
in the first place, rather than the stupid toggle is beyond me.
I have this setup plugged into an AM10-
on
for closed, off for open. Works for me. I think Ian Lowe may
have
been looking into this as well.

Compared with the 1300 quid it costs to
put
in Silent Gliss “pro” motors it is cheap. The lighting system
can do contact
closure. Bearing in mind I’m getting a third party to fit the stuff
is it a
sensible mod, and will it violate CE approval?
Tim.

Tim,
Not sure about sensibly priced any
more,
but the Swish motors can be mod-ed to enable discrete operation. I
keep
meaning to do a write up (and pics) for my site, but never seem to have the
time.

Two things I’m looking for:
1. Sensibly
priced curtain motor which will work on a discrete open/close basis and not
toggle.
2. Automatic
window opener/closer
Any takers?
Tim
