Windows
XP
is the worst operating system I’ve
seen…
It
runs
more efficiently on a dual cpu system (PII-300 x2) than it does on a single
cpu
PIII-750…
It
uses
far too much hard disk space
It
requires
128mb of ram to contemplate running anything like
ok
When
you
logon, it resembles a well-known kids tv
show..
I hate
XP!!!!
Now –
linux – runs like a dream.. never crashes… but wont run a wave-finder (I
have
looked!!)..

Wavefinder
I
have
good results with both Wavefinders that I have - one on W2K and one
W98 -
I do not experience any stuttering or software instability - the original
W98
install worked fine although I now use DAbbar on both machines as I
am playing with the traffic news data stream (TPEG). I am in
an
excellent signal coverage area though. Line of site to Emley
Moor.

Wavefinder
I got slightly better results with Dabbar, -
went
>from
face="Courier New">
3-second audio segment over and over and over again, to stuttering
about
once every minute or two... much better, but still unable to get
through a
whole song without stuttering at least once...
I'd hardly call this a new era of audio entertainment!
