It is also the cost in the Dub suites Mark
If you make a tv prog with 5.1 you have to pay the licence premium which the
Broadcasters would not pay :(

5.1 transmissions on Sky started some time ago. Movie channels often have a
5.1 transmission. I can't see many mainstream channels ever transmitting in
5.1 since there is no need for say news in 5.1.
